about your privacy

email

2meet4free requires anyone who wants to register to provide and validate their email address. this is a common way of limiting the ease with which people can create multiple accounts on the site.
it is also a way to safely resend you your login info if you ever lose it.
2meet4free guarantees to never disclose your email address to anyone and to never send you any spam either. Of course, no one will be able to see your email, not even bots or computer wizards. your email is only stored in the database of 2meet4free and used by 2meet4free internally if needed. your email will never be included either in the text or in the code of any page.

The only emails that we will send are the following:
  • 1 email after you successfully registered that contains a link that you must click to complete the registration process.
  • [optional] an email every time someone sends you a message through 2meet4free's messaging system if you chose to enable this option.
  • 1 email if you havent logged in for more that 6 months and have new unread messages and its been more than 6 months since we sent you a message about this.
*note that you will obviously also receive an email when you ask us to email you your password or something like that.

geographic location

other users do not get to see your geographic location. all they can see is the distance between you and them in kilometers rounded by 5.
but what if a user changes his/her location many times and checks each time if he/she is getting closer or further to eventually find my actual location?
in order to prevent this. we allow each user to change his geographic location a maximum of 3 times per day.
wouldn't it be possible for someone who has 2 accounts with different locations to determine anyone's location by using the Pythagorean theorem?
That would be possible. But its not everybody who will figure out how to do that. Though ultimately to prevent these few smartasses from beeing able to find your location, make sure that you avoid using your exact street address for your location and instead try just using something less precise such as your postal code or just the city itself.

birthdate

2meet4free does not show your birthday to other users but instead uses it to determine if you are within the desired age range of each other user when you search among them.
what if a person changes his/her age to see if my profile still appears or not in the search results?
that would only allow them to find your desired age range and not your own age.
